Stock travel on rear suspension

Huh?

New Member
Hi guys...I've done a lot of searches on suspension travel and cannot find any information. Can anyone tell me what the travel is on the rear shocks? I'm planning on relocating my battery and electronics under my seat cowl but need to know if I need to weld the plate above the frame. I'm assuming so but I want a definitive answer. It will be on a '72 Honda CB350. I'd rather make sure now than cut everything, weld and find out that it rubs.

Thanks,

Jimmie

Put the bike on the center stand or a lift, pull off 1 shock, put a ratchet strap around the swinger to the frame and crank it until it bottoms out. There's your travel.
