'79 XS Eleven

I've been a lurker here for a while and figured since I got my fat cafe painted I'd post up some pics.
Bought it for $500 in May. Not bad but definately needed some love.


Rebuilt the forks, and carbs. Found a new rear brake assembly since mine was missing. New exhaust, headlight and blinkers. Replaced the tank with a less thrashed one. KZ1000 shocks for a lift in the rear. Seat from Roccity cafe. Clubman bars, bar end mirrors and a tailight from a '48 Chevy.



I'll tear it all down this winter and paint the frame, rebuild the motor and such. But for know it'll just be an around town thrasher.

Fuckin awesome. What bar ends did you go with? I'm going back and forth over mirrors for my 78 XS11. Also, those aren't stock pipes, what are they?

The exhaust is a Mac 4 into 2 from bikebandit.com I got the mirrors from oldbikebarn I forget what they are called though. Basically they are a rip off of the old british bar end mirrors. They have em in chrome or black.

Killer bike! I am cafeing a 77 xs750 2d and I hope it comes out half that nice! Good luck this winter.
