I agree they're nice, but they're a one time shot;I've asked my local dealer and a few other dealers and they don't make that Wiseco kit anymore...or parts(Wiseco rings, etc.) for the CB350.
Do any of you know if Wiseco still makes replacement parts for these ?
There's been a lot more replacement & overbore OE manufacturer parts that become available, even though they're cast pistons that'll work for me.I Like OE parts better
I Can find NOS OE pistons & rings much easier from a different bike...which is why I've been asking about this. :
Hey there xb33bsa,
That's Good news to hear that they still make'em;I spoke w/ a girl at Gatto Honda up here, and a couple other 'parts' kids before in other places;I'm Glad I was wrong.
If I decide to use that kit(which does seem sensible...but I'n not Always : )I've got some good feedback from you on it.
Thanks again,
Bill
I realize this is an older post but have a question about the proper octane for the Wiseco pistons. What would be the right fuel to use when installed in a street only bike?

I just found a station here in Westmoreland co. PA. that sells 90 octane Ethanol free fuel and it works excellent.I imagine if you could get some of that it will be ideal. The Ethanol fuel probably needs a solid 91 or 92 oct.
The Wiseco pistons are forged rather than cast like the oem and should have the minimum octane you can get w/o preignition for quicker warm up;forged pistons take more heat to expand to their full size for optimum performance and the lower octane creates more heat.
Thanks Bill. I had the same idea as you after talking to PJ, but am leaning towards 1 over OEM or Wiseco pistons. I'll probably go with the Wiseco 66mm. Is that what you installed? How do you like them? Was your project for the street or track?
RGRH,
I went w/ Bore-Tech.com 65mm stock repro's but they don't have as high a compression as I would have liked. They are a cast piston and the price is right at $65 per piston kit which includes everything. They work well and because they're cast you can run tighter clearances, the same as oem;they also come w/ chrome rings & the 3-piece oil control rings & wrist pin.
