Hey guys got a question for ya

Im trying to rebuild this cb200 motor. Everything is going great thanks to the manual, but ran into a little problem with the camshaft. I having a problem trying to loose it to get the cam out to get the head off. I loosened the tensioner, but my manual says to loosen the knock bolts on my cam sprocket. Heres the problem, every time I try to loosen them the cam keeps turning. So, any advice on how to keep the cam from turning or am I missing something. Any help would be appreciated.

(great forum by the way)

Welcome to the site!

Did you try putting a wrench on the end of the crank to prevent them from spinning?

Thanks for the warm welcome

Wow, Ive been stuck on that all night and just got it loose it five minutes thanks to your help.

thank you sir, sure saved me a headache

also, when taking the cam out, note the little oil-bushing on the non-ingition side in the camshaft. You have to get that out (easy with pliers) to get the camshaft out.
succes!

You could also put the engine in gear and turn the bolts. With gear engaged its much harder for the cam to spin and the bolts will go in no time!
