Viability of a putting a modern sportbike front end on a CL350

I don't think this is correct:
"if the hole in the lower triple clamp is 1" the stem must be 1.001" if the hole is 1.25" diameter the stem must be 1.00125" and so on. "

If the hole is 1.25" dia then the stem should be 1.25125" dia. Just saying! Also if you put the stem in the freezer for a few hours and heat up the lower triple the stem will slide in without using a press.

Thanks John a simple but extreme mistake on the second example, I left out the .25" part of the dimension. Opps.

That's a great looking bike you've got there.

Can't see how you come up with $1000-$1200 to do the swap though. I've done it on my T500 using Kawi 636 front end for less than $500.

$1000-1200 includes the following
08 GSXR front end complete - $500
progressive suspension lowering kit for gsxr forks -$100
fork seals and fork oil- $50
harley dyna hub- $75
aluminum rim-$100
stainless spokes $100
all balls bearing conversion -$40
machined spacer for lower triple-$40
hyabusa rotor- $40
machining rotor to fit dyna hub-$40
conversion bearings for front hub- $30

Fair enough! Guess I'm cheap I compromised and went with more compatable parts ie mag wheels instead of spokes.
