Haha ikr! I'm not really familiar with the anatomy of a braking system. If it's all gunked up in the res will it be like that inside the caliper and lines? I had a hell of a time putting that caliper back together. Couldn't keep the pads separated. I'm pretty sure I did it incorrectly lol

Taking the master apart is the hard part especially when its as bad as yours is ....once its apart there is a few seals on the piston to be replaced and then a good clean up some rebuild kits come with a new piston too sometimes you can find an entire master for less/same price as the kit

Yeah I definitely didn't have it completely apart the other night might have to research upgrading to another brake that will fit my stock set-up. Haven't looked at the cost of all the options...

Broke broke broke waiting on funds Friday and Saturday. had to expense way more than I thought... Until then I'm trying to rig this throttle cable to work. The ends that fit into the slide are way too big. I'm going to dremel them down to look more like the universal ends lol here are some pics from Vegas. Tore my ac joint the night before we left Dallas

Hey dudes. Just letting you cats know I'm alive. Shoulder is doing well. Been doing nothing but ghetto fabricating throttle cables. I finally managed to get them to fit. Got a care package from Desmo! All kinds of good stuff. Most importantly the oil drain plug! I'll the pics soon. All I need now is some fuel line, a T joint thing, oil, gas, and I'll be ready for startup! Here's a pic of my GFs computer we build to hold you over till I get home.

Picture overload! Care package, Throttle cable, janky carb intake boots, and my new (to me) vehicle! Filling the 305 up with oil, grabbing some gas, and gonna do the damn thing... Wish me luck. I'll post a video.

Is it me or do those carbs look set up wrong? The hoses and clamps are all over the place...must be the hang over....

I should have two clamps for each carb, going to Lowe's soon. The fuel hoses are leaking from where they connect to the carbs so I a small clamp there as well.

Whats the hose coming out of the bottom of the bowls doing? I dont think you need a hose there unless those carbs are special like the olympics.....in the third picture down it looks like the fuel inlet for the carb has no line on it.....

I think that's where your fuel line attaches, not the bottom. Usually the bottom is just an overflow.

Well I feel like an idiot. The hoses were attached at the "overflow" hole there in the bottom when I first got the carbs... No wonder my start-up was a fail. Perfect. Round two tonight.

It's a good thing you make mistakes because the rest of us don't, like when I wired my pamco backwards so right fired on left etc...

Haha well it's only the beginning... I'm sure it'll get better

So i put the hoses on the right nipples

Hooked up the battery and attempted to start the damn thing...

Nothing.

Held the spark plugs against engine case. On the left i saw nothing. Tried to test the right side and the starter motor wouldn't turn over smoke coming out of the chain cover on left side. There's a small set if wires going to the "stator"? Afraid to do anything else now.

If it makes you feel any better my 305 is in way better shape starts runs and drives but will just cut out on you with no warning and hasnt made it farther than 4 blocks before ive had to push it.....every time too you could set your watch by how my bike cuts out....so there is light at the end of the tunnel but youll still be pushing when you see it.....

I also fried one starter so far they are expensive online so try and grab one at the salvage place if you can also an 83 kz305 starter doesnt bolt right on but if you have about 30 washers you can make it work!

You think this might work? Not sure how different the csr is. Sorry I've been MIA. Just hunting for the new starter.
