Im digging into a GS550E myself. I was just about to throw on some clip-ons sitting in my living room. Did you run into any clearance issues with your stock forks? Or any advice for things that you thought were going to work during your build, but ended up failing and forcing you to substitute?

Appreciate it. The clip ons do hit at full lock. I will be adding stops to prevent it as much as posible. Only advice i can give is build and design for you, dont try to fit in a mold to get approval. There are a lot of folks here that will beat you down and judge but i dont care.
