Hi all,
I picked up a CB750F (of various years) with a couple of spare motors for a good price to patch up and use as a commuter. I say various years because it looks like its been put together from parts from 79-82 model DOHC Honda’s maybe CB900. So far its been easy enough to identify things to then buy the correct parts to restore but the rear brake has me stumped.
Front brake caliper pistons are 38mm diameter X 35mm high, which seems to be standard for single piston calipers before Honda went to dual piston. Most sites say the rear is the same but the rear piston out of my caliper is 38mm X 41mm.
I found one ebay listing for a GL1000 piston stating that the 38mm X 40mm can be substituted. And I would be ok with that but id rather just get the right part first time.
Can anyone give me a part number or info about this 38mm X 41mm piston?
Thanks in advance for your help
