I read that there was a recall for them. Wonder if this bike had the work done...very informative post. Good stuff.

Don't know about a recall, my roommates bike has been in his grandpa's basement since '82 and I don't think the engine has ever been opened up haha. You can get a lot of good info at http://www.kz400.com/ and the kawi twin owners forum http://www.armbell.com/kz400/index.php?mforum=kz400
