3K film on headlight... best way to apply?

So I've seen 3K (yellow film) applied to a headlight using liquid (Windex) with a squeegee, but have heard that heating the film with a heat gun while stretching it then squeegee from the center works better? Has anyone applied 3K film with just heat vs. liquid (spraying film and headlight)?

You need to use soapy water with a squeege. It sounds weird but it's the most effective method to get perfect results easily. The use of a heat gun is good too, just warm it up.

you maybe want to use a hairdryer rather than a heat gun which will prob just melt the film, they put out enough heat to blister skin/burn paint off so a thin plastic film isn't going to offer much resistance
