Identifying CB750 front forks

Hi All,
Can anyone shed some light on how to identify the varying CB750 front forks / Comstar wheels?
I need to find out which year/model I have as these are fitted to a cb350, to fit a speedo drive delete.

I am thinking of this speedo drive delete, which fits some but not all years as I read it (?) http://jwebsterdesigns.com/shop/speedometer-gear-drive-delete/

Are there any unique features or markings to assist here?

Thanks a million,
Nicho

Comstars started in '79 on the 750's I think. And early 80's (not sure when) they changed to reverse Comstars (like shown). GoldWings started with Comstars in '78.

could be DOHC 900 forks ( prob same as same era 750 ones) , i have used them, a couple of times on SOHC 750's as you can use real calipers and with a bit of effort stupidly big 6 or 4 pot calipers

those are identical to the ones on my 1980 CB750C later ones used the axle mounted on the front of the fork.

Those could also be 77/78 CB750F forks. Comstars started in 1977 on the Supersports and featured the ribs on the forks. The F's were dual disc, so it would help to know what's on the other side. I don't think the reverse Comstars happend until the 80s, tho.
