Well I think that everything went back together smoothly.
One think that struck me odd was that the external shift lever would move and actuate everything behind the polished cover, but would not put the transmission into gear.
I tried spinning things, but no dice.
Did this before I took things apart too.
I read a few things online and looked at the parts diagrams.
My check that everything went together correctly was to remove the gear detent thingy. That spring loaded screw that stops the selector at different gears.
When the device was removed I could manually move the quadrant and check that I could get to all 5 (4+N) divots on the selector and that neutral was neutral.
Other then that I cant see how to confirm things, honestly it seems like there is only one way to get everything together.
Will need to look up and buy the correct fluid before running everything.
Fresh O-Rings, gaskets and seals all the way around.
The complete gasket surely was complete!, and cheaper then a SOHC CB750 kit too!
Not a whole lot of pictures.
Empty case all cleaned out.
Trying to fiddle around with things.
Unsure if this is the exact way things went together, dont think they were.
Case back together.
Light polish to brighten things up.
New 20 tooth sprocket and all buttoned up.
Will trim the gaskets a bit too.
Even tossed it back into the frame. Mostly to feel good about myself and see things getting assembled.
Still a bit of work to be done, but getting there.
