Help with flasher relay?

Hey everyone!

So I've been working on my build slowly over the past couple months, and it's coming along well. When I bought the bike it didn't have any blinkers, only a head light. I've added new blinkers and a new headlight, which are all LED's. Now my only question is, what flasher relay can I use? It runs off of a 12 volt battery. The old bike used a 10 amp breaker on the signals circuit, bit I know that LED's draw a lot less power than that. So I don't really have to worry about how many amps the new relay can handle, right?

Also, the lights in the gauge that indicate if the blinkers are on are the original light bulbs from the 70's, so will those flash at a weird rate if I get one that works with the LED's? I don't really care if the instrument lights work at all to be honest, as long as the blinkers on the front and back work.

If anyone could help me out with all of this I'd really appreciate it! I'm 18 and just getting into all of it, and I'm pretty good with everything but my skills in electrics need some work.

Thanks!
Davin

Do you need 2 or 3 pins? I used one like this off eBay, and it works perfectly I have LED fronts and an LED integrated rear tail/brake/turn signal unit. I did have to cut the plug off and use spade connectors, but that is no big deal

He's got a no-load flasher relay which should work for you. If you have a single turn indicator you'll probably need to wire in diodes in order to keep both sides from flashing at the same time.

Sorry I probably should have mentioned that, but it's a three pin! Will the two pin still work or no?

This one should be plug-n-play for you....

On bikes, you can almost always use a two pin relay instead of the three pin. The third pin is ground, which isn't necessary for the two pin flashers.

Alright cool, thanks a lot everyone! I went ahead and ordered one, so hopefully it will work. If not I'll be back! Thanks again!
