... So when I came across this little 1960 BMW 700 Coupe the other day, I ended up spending about an hour talking to the owner who had restored this beautiful little car. Wish I had taken a better picture of the BMW Boxer Engine in the rear. I think its a 600cc? The cars designation is 700, so is it perhaps a 700cc? We did talk about this, but Ive forgotten already... BMW had a race factory team in the early 60's, and these little cars were very competitive.

The restoration job on this car has to be seen. Its absolutely perfect. It looks factory.

Anyway, check these out! :)

Yes its a 700cc motor. They were pretty competitive cars back in the day as you stated earlier. People still use them in vintage "hill climbs" and what not. They are a pretty rare car here in the states. Ive only seen one in my life, but would LOVE to own/drive one. The car weighs almost nothing! Its like a 4 wheeled cafe racer hahaha

Not only is it a thoroughbred little race, its a perfect commuter as well"...

As I said before, the restoration on this car is concours. The toolkit in its canvas satchel is original from 1960, and its immaculate. And then there's that steering wheel... Ok, ok.. :p

Oh, yeah, and I just remembered, he said he had another one that he was restoring, but to race with so it wouldnt be as original as this one, and that he was putting a 1200 Boxer engine into it...
