Got some more work done, lots of it has no pictures... but I finished the paint and pinstripe on the tank - now it just needs the badges, knee pads, and rack put on...

first we got a rolling chassis...

then plopped the engine and gearbox in... carb we wanted to use hit the seat post so we ordered a new amal and also lost the oil lines somewhere  :'( so have to find or make some of those before we see how it runs.. but mag was timed and everything so thats good!

Dang. Could you teach me to "plop an engine and gearbox in"? Every time I try that it takes me a year and $800 :D

This thing is sweet. Keep it up, sir.

it's quite easy.

1. lift
2. swear a lot
3. hammer things
4. beer

Wait,
the beer doesn't come first?
That explains a lot.

1.Beers
2. break stuff, cut fingers, swear a lot
3. Beers
4. give up untill tomorrow and drown sorrows in more Beers
5. Beers

Oh and the Brad J method.
1. beer
2. Make something completely awesome out of metal
3. beer
4. get it 95% finish, have one to many beers then smash it with a hammer.
5. Beer
6. Start over next day after drunk posting the destruction on DTT ;D

Crazy our method can be identical even so far away ;D
Although last night I replaced "cut fingers" with "burn the living fuck out of fingertip with a tig welder"

And This triumph is looking badass I can't wait to see it finished.

LOL I have a very infected cut on my thumb right now from removing a rusty as shit heat shield from the X-Trial that was rattling, moved a rad hose out the of the way but left my thumb for the jagged edge to slice open. was lovely, and I have burned my fingers on pretty much everything that can get hot LOL.

As I was hammering an engine mount bolt out (because TFMW uses material thicker than Triumph did) I managed to hammer the shit out of my finger.. nice and scabby, even a week later.
