Hello ,
And I think I know what your going to say? Not another goldie to compete with Swannie.
Well I thought i'd put it out there. Someone may interested. Heck sometimes there's just nothing better to do than read.
With a little back ground first.
Firstly , Thanks for letting me join the DO THE TON forum,
Secondly a mate of mine has several old bike's and I have worked with him since 1977. I've never been interested in old bikes. Pre 70's that is. I've owned 111 bikes and have 8 at the moment. I've pestered him to restore a bike for at least the last 20 years. Well finally about 2 years ago he decided to give into my requests. What I didn't realize is what he had.
Obviously a 1963 Gold star. But I'm doing 4 bikes at once. I know I have a problem. The other 3 being Vincent 1000's.
I've decided to finish one bike at a time. The BSA firstly. Reading about Swannies bike has helped a lot, especially with assembly( as this bike was completely dismantled).
I have just about completed the engine and gearbox. The frame is almost done and the wheels too.
Well please let me know if you would like more information or if your sick of BSA rebuilds?
Thank you for your time.
Cheers
