Disconnect the power from kill switch to coils.
Connect that lead to terminal 86
Connect Terminal 85 to ground
Connect T87 to the coils
Connect battery directly to T30 with a new cable

Neither is specifically ignition, but the principal is the same

Stock ratios on the CJ are as follows:

Primary: 3.714
Final: 2.063
First: 2.438
Second: 1.667
Third: 1.375
Fourth: 1.111
Fifth: .0965

18 tooth front sprocket changes the final drive to 1.833, so assuming a redline of 12,000 (and enough power to push it), top speeds are now as follows:

First: 54.0
Second: 79.0
Third: 95.7
Fourth: 118.5
Fifth: 136.4
 
if you're building motors, now is a good time to get a good (not h.f.) leakdown tester, it will help you build a tighter engine and get more power out, compression testing is good enough to get a bike running, but to really know what's going on, leakdown is best

aaahhhhhh, didnt know it was a cj. thats what i get for assuming.

I'm still looking forward to seeing what happens though, got my eyes on some of the same stuff this winter. ;)
