New Restoration

Just finished this one except for a couple of decals.



I bought this one, promised by owner as to receive a running and drive-able check out prior to crating. Seller later told me it had not run since 2015 after I found a stack of problems. It was built and maintained very crudely by most standards, but I have managed to salvage the situation enough to possibly use the bike this summer before full tear down next winter. Here is a link of how to fix someone's mess. Might be a good reference if you decide to buy.



The restoration can be found here, actually it's more like what to check before you ride and hopefully save some expensive repairs. Some guys get it technically and some don't. Just a head's up on buying and what you might find.

I'm confident Drew and Stephen are capable of sorting things out on their own.

Nobody is going to gain or be hurt by this stuff being sorted out in 'public' and frankly it's a waste of board resources to host the discussion.

If Stephen (rotortiller) wants to document the restoration of a bike here, I'm all for it, but I'm not going to allow this to turn into a he-said / he-said debate about a transaction only 2 people on the planet have any first-hand knowledge of.

So with that, I'm cleaning up the thread and will give our new member a chance to begin documenting the build.

Nifty stuff. I love triples of all stripes.
