Hey Crew,

Recently installed the M-Unit Blue on my bike (1980 CB750k) and I can’t get the starter to turn over. All turn signals, lights, etc work but I’m stuck on the starter. I have attached a picture of my wiring diagram and need to know what I did wrong. The Green/ Red wire is where I think my issues are. When I leave it disconnected the motor won’t turn. When I connect it to ground and hit the start button, the M-Unit flashes all of its lights and resets. Please Help!!!

The red/ green should be grounded to the frame and The Red/ yellow needs an additional wire spliced into it so it goes into the other starter input on the m-unit. Hope this helps.

So just got back and wired it exactly like you specified, two starter wires spliced together (yellow/red) leading to the starter solenoid and I grounded the (green red) wire. When I hit the starter button the m unit made a spark noise and all of the lights on the unit cane on. Any idea what I did wrong here?

Starter button is a motogadget m switch. I’m running the m button so the blue wire runs to one switch terminal and the other terminal has a wire that runs to the main ground

Tried that too. When I bypass the switch the same thing happens where the m unit makes a spark noise and all the lights on the unit flash on then immediately the unit turn off.

Got a multimeter? What's the resistance between the yellow/red and green/red wires from the solenoid (with the wires disconnected from the rest of the system)?
