i just got a new reg/rect in the mail and wired it in, just have to charge my battery up run a few wires for the blinkers and mount them and sort of the rear fender and tailight and im done!
once ive got rego then ill ride it for a bit and re-do my rims with new everything.
Those shorty mufflers really do make a racket especially if you've removed the baffled sy the sounds of it, not being a kill joy but wait til youve been on the bike for a while you might get what i mean when i say it gets too loud!
they didnt come with proper baffles if you know what i mean, just have a bit of mesh and shit around but they are basically straight through pipes.
finally got round to re foaming my seat tonight at work. when i originally made it, i used too soft foam, as soon as you sat on it you just sunk straight down to metal! :roll:
i bought this closed cell foam from ebay, and just tore off the upholstery and red did it, turned out ok i reckon, its a bit thinner than it used to be but the foam is firmer.
before pic:
tear down:
was also good to see how nice of a job was done on it.
and the finished job;
the bike is at the mechanics just getting the rim laced up, new tyres and a rear guard welded on. then it will get a tune up and rego!
man it feels like this bike has taken me forever to complete...
