"Cafe Racer" such a loose term! Craigslist "Gem" of the week!

I've wanted an Ariel Square 4 since I first heard about them. just such a cool lump.

So I am gonna be a wee bit off topic since this was not on CL nor is it a cafe racer.... but upon doing a lil research, on work hours of course, for batteries for my bike I was some how directed to this link.

Well the front end is interesting and looks salvageable. The front fender looks recoverable as well. Maybe the headlight bucket and ears, but not the surround. I'd drop close to a hundred for it if those parts turned out to be not roached. That would be some neat stuff to use on other bikes. Then when people ask 'Where'd that front end come from?' you could be all smooth and go 'A Velocette.'
 
Really missing what makes this worth $4000. Looks like a once nice cb360 that he took the side covers off of, slapped on pod filters and screwed up the front end like no ones business. $4000!!!??? Come on people. Oh yeah it is a cafe racer too ::)

I especially like the shot of the girl. Yeah, that wasn't taken outside of the strip club at all... The girl has that look on her face like 'okay I sat on it. Now pay me weirdo.'
And ten to one odds that the dude buried his face in the seat after she went back in.

eh, looks to be her riding gear in front of the bike in that pic. Guys was trying real hard to be funny though with the movie/zombie stuff, and the fairing is just plain ass ugly
 
You're missing the point, this is a MAD MAX cafe racer that's ready for the Zombie Apocolypse, that makes all the difference, well worth the extra money for that piece of mind :)

The windscreen look like an old office chair :eek:
