Hey all,
I've just finished a lot of my parts with their paint coats, pretty exciting! I put my float bowls back on (now painted black) and as I torqued down one of the allen heads (not over-torqued) the first thing that happened was a nice flake of new paint chipped off around the bolt. As I think about it, it seems that new paint around bolt heads will end up getting chipped pretty frequently under pressure of tightening. Do you put washers in? O-rings? What is the solution to flaking paint around bolt heads?
Thanks!
