Steering Bearings Before or After PC?

Getting new bearings soon and was wondering if I it makes a difference to press them in before or after I get the frame powdercoated. Wanted the forks in during welding and mock up but not at the cost of them getting soda in them and crudding up.

Anyone have experience with this?

All bearings must be removed before powdercoating.

You can leave taper roller bearing races in for powder, just cover them up and don't let them get sandblasted. Soda certainly wont hurt them.

Pull the actual bearings, but the races will be fine.
