1987 ZG1000

Nice bikes especially the top one...I have a ways to go before my shiznit starts looking like that. I've seen and read the write up on the yellow bike and that's actually what pushed me over the edge to start the transformation on mine.

This bike is stashed away in my shed and needs to be started after the first of the year. Its complete including the side covers not pictured.

Spent some time mocking up stripes, moving stuff around on the the tail end and turned the exhaust into stubs.

For the exhaust I made a three chamber baffle using tubes and discs. Chambers are small but even without packing it at all it's not much louder then stock...no pops or performance issues but the test drive was only a few miles. No brake/tail light so I didn't want to press my luck.

Stock gauges could be made to work but would probably look better with the shell blacked out and perched on top of the OEM headlight.

Scored these from a '85 ZX900...plug and play for my bike. Auction ended Christmas Eve and had a starting AND finishing bid of $1.00. Hats off to the seller for getting them here so quick.
