AN fittings on old Triumph or anything else

I was thinking of using AN fittings to run nice hard lines on my '74 triumph bobber.

Has anyone done this or have suggestions on what type to use with steel vs. aluminum?
 
Hondas essentially ran them, so we know it works. Most of their bikes in the 70s were combos of hard lines and flex lines. Personally, I like to run AN fittings with stainless steel braided lines on my bikes.
