CL450 Scrambler complete build

Got a CL450 in the shop and the guy basically wants an updated version of the scrambler.

Here are some things that have, or will, be changed/updated:

New high pipes, 2-into-1 being built by yours truly
Electronic ignition
Upgraded charging system
Mikuni VM32 carb conversion
New rear fender/rear subframe assembly
CB front disc wheel/brake setup
New dirt bike bars
Upgraded switch housings
New rear shocks
Upgraded front suspension

And here are some pics. I didnt take any before pics when it came in but im sure the owner has some ill post for comparison

I started with an IC Engine works exhaust modeling kit(adult legos :) )


Next i modeled the exhaust and made changes before actually building the system


Looks just like the modeling :)

I made my own 2-into-1 collector as well.
 
The exhaust modeling kit is made by IC Engine works. I picked this kit up for a steal from someone who stopped by my shop last month. It really helped me to see how the exhaust would look and make any changes before i made the first cut or weld. I changed the design a little bit after modeling it so it has already paid for itself.

Small update but i changed the bars out with a nice set of dirt bike bars and took off the stock gauge cluster. Will be replacing with the Acewell all in one cluster to clean it up and still keep a little bit of classic styling.

That modelling kit is pimp!!
 
Well im bad at updates but the bike is complete. Had all the engine covers and the exhaust i fabbed ceramic coated in titanium, had the frame and wheels powdercoated, seat reupholstered, I rewired the bike completely, rebuilt front end, had the tank and fenders painted a sort of classic white, etc. and got it all finished. Also if your keen youll see the front of the custom fabbed skid plate.
