lowering the footpegs

hi, I have been thinking about buying the Skyteam Ace but the pegs look to be too high and back for me.
There seems to be plenty of ground clearance so I was thinking of fixing a metal plate hanging off the original peg hole.
I recon 2 inch lower and 1 inch forward would do it.
Has anyone else tried this?

Pegs are pretty much perfect for me, but I do use low clip-ons.

How tall are you TUA? Some six-foot plus riders seem to fit OK.

Got restricted bend in one knee. I will take a trip to a dealership to sit on the Ace and assess if the mod footpeg is doable.

I don't know if these pics are any help. But it's been done before. By the way, I'm 6'2" but I sit comfortably on my ace.

This is not my ace by the way. I found the pics here:

Thanks for the pics, I will be doing a mod along similar lines.
I had a sit on a Honda Dream 50 yesterday and I would need the pegs lowering to ride it.
