CB350 Rearsets + Kickstand question

I'm putting some rearsets on my Cb350. I realize that the kickstand is part of the stock footpegs. Right now I don't want to weld a mount and relocate it. In the interim can I just lop off the footpegs and keep the mount or once I cut the pegs off will I run into some other issue? This will basically be a fix to get me through summer. After that I'll probably strip the bike and rebuild it. I'm open to any other suggestions. Thanks.

Could you run no kickstand and run the centerstand only?
