CB750 Rear Tire Alignment

Putting on my rear tire after getting a new tube, and it seems as if the tire itself is about a 1/4" off center to the left. All spacers are in the right order, and I still notice it once the axel is tightened down. I'm wondering if I could use a washer or two as a shim to get it perfectly centered? Any suggestions appreciated!

It's pretty hard to tell from the photo, but its definitely slightly off center. Not sure if 1/4" makes a big different or not. What made me realize it in the first place was the fact that my chain guard won't fit on there anymore without rubbing up against the tire.
