Early Honda Moped

Hi everyone. I'm all new to this forum but I really wanted to ask if this is worth anything? I got it from a lady and its been in her basement since she could ever remember. It has to be a late 1960's but any clue on the model? Worth restoring? Are the parts available for the restoration if need be?

Definitely snag it and restore it I say.

Model is likely CA100 since there's no electric start. Year should be labeled on the wiring harness. I'm working to restore one right now actually. They're cool little machines and very easy to work with and get (most) parts for. People in the US part these out frequently on eBay but there's also a ton of stuff coming from Thailand. There's something like 60 million of these worldwide. You can also check out these sites for some NOS or aftermarket pieces:

If you're serious I'd also check out this Yahoo Group, it's a wealth of knowledge:

Peds are a hoot! I had 4 all restored.. a couple would come over and we would tour the nearby towns and neighbourhoods. Here's a pic!

Has anyone ordered any parts from Thailand? Just wondering how the quality is and what the shipping time is for something like that?

There is a shitload of parts available for old Hondas from China. Chinese manufactures have cloned a lot of the classic Honda engines. Unfortunately, the quality is no where near Honda quality, but the parts are serviceable.

I've ordered bits for a CB125 from Thailand (Ebay). The quality is fine, and shipping and service good.

I picked up a legshield from Apex Cycle, which I believe is imported by them from Thailand. I can confirm that the quality isn't as good as the original and the color is a bit off (more off-white than bright white) but the price is right and there's always paint ;D
