...and im getting ready to completely disassemble for the winter..
 
i plan on pulling the headlight in and raising the bars / doing something to clean the the front end up..forks i dont know yet
 
You should lower those forks internally instead of sliding them through the triples.

What does that include? I had my forks apart and I can't think of an easy way to do it. Cut the spring cut and thread the sliders?
 
The seat pipe at the bottom of the fork has a small spring. Put a spacer on top of that spring (whatever the length of the spacer for how much you want to lower it) then cut the top spring equal length. Many people use PVC for the spacer, I used an EMT union that matched the outsides dimension of the spring.

The seat pipe is inside the fork tube and it controls the rebound, so the spacer is lowering the rebound point.
