Kz 400 vs xs 360 / 400 reliability.

I have an interesting dilemma. I have two projects that but for the sake of time (I want to do some riding this summer) I will focus on one and save the other as a long term venture. I have an old 1976 kawasaki kz400 and a yamaha xs400 with two spare engines, a spare 360 engine and parts for the 400 engine. Both bikes require about the same amount of work to get them going. My plan is to either to get a spare kz400 as a parts bike and make one good bike. Or wait for that project so I can fix up the XS, save a little money and with the left over amount buy a xs360 so I dont have a spare motor lying about. My question is what would be out of the two what would be the eaiser to maintain and reliable with a decent source of parts? XS bikes seem to have a greater supply of parts where I am but I want to hear from the experts on this one. Thanks
