After waiting a few weeks and watching eBay and Craigslist, I got lucky with the local classifieds. I called about this $200 '72 CB175. When I went to pick it up, the guy insisted he should give me $50 off because I had to rent a truck. Hard to argue with him 
It had a know bad cylinder, but I narrowed it down to the ignition coil and a stripped spark plug hole. I ordered a new coil and am getting the hole re-threaded tomorrow. Can't wait to get it running and start modifying it. In the meantime, I've adjusted the points, cleaned the carbs, and cleaned up everything else I could.
I also have an XS400 that is almost completely disassembled right now that had a seized engine when I got it. It needs a lot more work so is on the back burner.
