Came home with this 1972 CB 350 this afternoon. Set me back $750 but almost all of the problems are cosmetic! Even the chrome looks pretty nice. Still it needs a little repair....
It seems the 21yo PO drank a few beers and dropped it. (Musta been in grass cause it has no road rash!!) Bent the headlight ears, dented the tank, fubar'd the brake pedal and twisted the fork tubes in the tripple tree. His Dad laid down the law and his loss is my gain. They even had replacement headlight ears and brand new Dunlops in the deal!
I'll polish everything, replace the cables rebuild the carbs, change the oil and tune 'er up. Other small items include fixing the starter switch and closely examining the forks for bends or leakage. I'll probably restore it and ride for a while then either sell it to finance a new project or cafe it out and sell the extra parts.
Does anyone have an extra 350 brake pedal they'd part with???
