Ducati 900ss Racebike

Been Around the Block
I've been playing around with building a race frame for a my 900ss, and lightening it up as much as possible, I have access to quite a shop so I've been using Solidworks to study the feasibility of some different designs and how efficient and safe they are for a given weight. I've settled on a large tube backbone frame because it had the most consistent response to braking and torsional loads input through the steering tube, other frames seemed to concentrate stresses in certain areas whereas this one keeps the stress spread out and relatively low.

still a few tweaks to work out but very close to the final design

put a radius on all your connections to get a more realistic strength analysis ;)
This reduces the notching effect of your theoretical built to a more practical realisation.
