  • Jan 10, 2018, 15:21:20
  • The Jimbonaut:
  • There are a few mods I've got lined up (some necessary, some utterly not at all) but all in the spirit of keeping-busy-until-riding-season-starts-again...
  • Jan 10, 2018, 15:18:59
  • Hurco550:

  • Jan 10, 2018, 14:50:23
  • The Jimbonaut:
  • Dude that's hilarious, I'm british and not without a few grey hairs of my own - I'll act as the counterweight to any of my scoffing countrymen!
  • Jan 10, 2018, 14:49:38
  • Hurco550:
  • Im sure there is a british grey hair or two in here that scoff at an enduro on a "cafe racer" forum, but most on here like looking into all different kinds of home shop built shennanigans

  • The Jimbonaut:
  • The little riding I did on it at the end of last year was brilliant, more fun than a barrel of monkeys.  I love the thing
  • Jan 10, 2018, 14:39:43
  • The Jimbonaut:
  • Yeah, bought one at the end of the season in pretty rough shape but got it fixed up enough to pass safety. Low mileage (it's the C model) and only ridden offroad so it's been hammered.  Torn it down and now doing a complete rebuild
  • Jan 10, 2018, 14:39:11
  • Hurco550:
  • you have a klr? awesome. Ive been pleasantly supprised at how much fun a big bore thumper is to have around
  • Jan 10, 2018, 14:31:47
  • The Jimbonaut:
  • Wife has a food processor the blades of which are the exact diameter I need to bore out the cylinder to the correct spec, so I'm gonna use that
  • Jan 10, 2018, 14:30:21
  • Maritime:
  • a stiff clutch is terrible, especially in city riding. Good luck, new cable should sort it.  Good news on the KLR tear dow too
  • Jan 10, 2018, 14:29:00
  • The Jimbonaut:
  • Gonna pull the jug off the KLR today and bore that sucker out

  • Jan 10, 2018, 14:27:52
  • The Jimbonaut:
  • Got the new clutch cable for the CB750 (and a dust cover - spare her blushes when I tear into the KLR) so will have a go at re-routing it to soften up the clutch lever
  • Jan 10, 2018, 14:27:41

  • The Jimbonaut:
  • I read about that...been following the Ashes and with half of our players passing out through heat exhaustion I think the official line is "too hot" as our excuse for f*cking it all up
  • Jan 09, 2018, 10:46:35
  • Maritime:
  • Yep too hot can suck just as bad as too cold
  • Jan 09, 2018, 09:36:27
  • Pete12:
  • Last Sunday in Sydney we recorded our hottest temperature since 1939 at 45.8C (114.4F). It's the other end of the spectrum but it's also pretty damn miserable working in the shed

  • That's a 4800W heater in the photo, picked it for a few bucks last year in CT.  Had to wire a 3 pin plug but it puts out some heat

  • I've spent good time in Australia, a country known for many things with barbecues high on the list.  First time I visited by brother in law in Ottawa he rustled up some fish steaks on the bbq - in minus 35C.  Canada Got Balls.
