I got plans for this one. Been looking for one for a while.

Small ultrasonic parts cleaner. Not big, but will work for smaller parts. Price was right, $4 in a thrift shop; works great.

Picked this guy up yesterday.
Excello Brand out of Canada.
Bridgeport type knee mill but a little beefier than a BP

Anxious to start cranking out some parts!

Yep it came with the vice, cat 40 spindle, some facing stuff, a full collet set, and some various other tooling. I tried to get the super spacer to go with it but he wouldn't let it go.

Jared,
Yeah it's a bit over kill for a mill this size I think but it is certainly a plus. I don't have anything to compare it to but it seems to chew through everything I've thrown at it so far. About a 3/32" depth of cut on a 1" dull endmill didn't bother it at all in cold rolled steel. I don't know if that a big cut or not, but it impressed me.

First step is to build a pneumatic draw bar, using a wrench takes for damn ever.

93 thou and some change. Not small cut by any means. My Bridgeport has a NMTB30 taper, I take .250 -.300 deep, .500 wide all day long in 6061 with no issues with a 1/2" 3 flute. That cat40 would absolutely hog aluminum. Only weakness there will be with the quill extended out. Raise the table, rather than lowering the quill, and you'll be moving some serious metal.

Rather than a power draw bar, buy a ER collet set. Never have to change holders, just collets at the quill.

Something like this.

It came with a full set of collets from 1/16 to 1 1/4"
I was thinking more in the line of change from a flycutter to a drill bit etc quickly.

Technically not a purchase, but I found this gem on the side of the road on my way home from work today!
Now I can keep all my tools in the same spot!!!

70k original miles. VERY healthy 5.9, immaculate interior. The rims will be the first to leave, but the rest of the truck really fits the bill for me. Plenty of room for my fishing gear and dog.
