If I was still in Ca. that would have already been in my garage. A steal that's probably already been picked up. More than $500 in parts and a damn good bike to ride if you can unstick the engine. These are very streetable bikes and easy to work on. I've owned about a dozen over the years and are very fun rides.... Gotta love a toaster tank.

This is mine, and it's a bit of a shitbox. Varying degrees of disarray, as it were. If any Dallas area local wants to take it off my hands I'll make ya a screamin' deal!

When we upped stick and moved from UK to US my lovely old LS400 was sold and became a 'thank you wifey' diamond ring.
5 years later and CAT ended the contract and I had to come back to the sh!t tip that is Blighty

Because one should never spend more then $500 for the "base" to build their dream bike.

Actually it could be a nice deal for someone looking for a project.

He also says it took him three years to build but Garage Co did the build from the ground up. Which one was it? It's a cool bike but I've seen better builds on this forum.

Craigslist 1970 cb750 no title, hot wired, runs, and he will take $300. It reeks of stolen but hasnt been inspected since 1980 so i dunno. Should i do it?

It's probably a lost title and lost keys. Technically, half my bikes are hot wired because I often remove the key switch. LOL. That said, any bike bought without a title is potentially stolen. I assume no inspection since 1980 also means no registration since 1980.

I know prices are inflated in NYC, but that's not in the "unbelievable" realm around here. Remember to us its "HOLY HOW, A RUNNING CB750 FOR $300" and to them it may be "the old junk bike taking up room in my garage".

Up here if it runs it's over 1500 and that's with like 40k on the clock and beat to shit. Lol, true.

Yeah, you gotta keep yours eyes open here, but you can very regularly get a whole lotta bike for $1500 in this area

not a hipster bike at all.........it does however have several of the traits required to class it as such, crap tyres, no front guard, no rear splash so the engine gets covered in shit, copper and brass highlights for that instant corroded look, photoshoot in an artisanal brewery, what more could you want, however he may have placed himself outside his target market with the engraving though maybe that'll be the next big thing (though it was a big thing back in the 80s for both scooters and choppers, maybe murals will be making a hipster led comeback sometime soon)

and quite reasonably priced for an R80 I feel
