I think that thread pertains to a twin, but there is usefull info there anyway.

I did a little searching myself and have no solid numbers but from what I gather, you will have no issues with interference regardless of how thin you go, so there is just the matter of having enough thickness for sealing, which is not an easy task on the cb350f. They are notorious leakers.

Good luck on your search, wish we could help more.

40 thou seem i recall

2 good reads, thanks guys. I hope I dont have those same issues with the O-rings for the oilers..

which thickness??

.032 or .042...if .040 is stock I dont think I want to go thicker..
Will the .032 cause clearance issues ?

.032 will be fine.

I am finding some results that say .040 is a bit too thick to allow some orings to seal, and again your engine is not at risk for clearance issues.

If you want to be sure for yourself first hand, get two gaskets in .032 and use one to mockup the head and with some molding clay covering the crown of the piston, then rotate the engine a couple times then measure the clay for clearance specs.

Thanks man. I had that thought of using the clay. How thin do you think I could go before I needed to get serious about checking clearances? He has .016 , .021 and .026 also...
