1976 GMC Motorhome

Thanks guys.

Been a little busy and not a lot of progress.
Over the last few days I finally completed the last piece of the dash puzzle.
The original AC controls looked awful, like they were out of a mid 70's gm pos hah.
So after a bit of searching I randomly bought the controls from a 2004 Ford Fusion and adapted them to work.
It has a mechanical blend door and vacuum controls.
I had to turn down and machine the original blend door lever to fit in the new housing, worked a treat. Then had to swap the cables to get the heat/cool function working the correct direction.

Then I machined up a new walnut face plate, I'll laser engrave all the little symbols at a later date.

Quite the difference:

Next up in preparation for reinstalling the dash was a layer of sound deadening and heat killing heavy stuff. Looks like the space station in here now.

Tonight I hope to get the dash back in at least partially.

Sometimes you have to take a break to get the important things done. Like hanging a beemer off the ass end.

A little more progress.
Got the dash reinstalled (At least partially)

had to spend all night last night redoing the actual dash panel because for some fucking reason the file went haywire from my old one, so I had to start from scratch.
5+ hours later:

I've got a tablet in there for music and nav, backup camera, Etc. I can also see my battery charging status and details, along with details on the solar panels, all from the dash.

On the left is the controller for the fuel injection and timing. Pretty cool how adjustable it is, it also gives me coolant temp, air intake temp, vacuum, spark advance, AFR, and about 500 other things that I'd never need to know like throttle position etc.

Got the dash all finalized.
Still need to get the green piece upholstered, so I used a spare to install it in the coach for now.

Still have to finish up the wiring.
I love the wiring diagram fro this thing, it's in the service manual and it's a 5 or 6 page fold out that's about 6 feet long. AND it's hand drawn.

Aaaaand that's what it used to look like >: ;D
Slowly moving along, took a day off work yesterday to change the oil, grease all the zerks, get new tires, flush the radiator, check the trans fluid, mount a remote air filter, and drive it around a bit.

Why you ask?
Because on wednesday I have to drive it to Indiana to get painted
