Wanted: Project bike CX500 in Texas

I'm looking for a project bike, it's been years since I worked on a 72 Vega V8 with my dad and I want something to get my hands dirty with and learn on. Looking for a CX500 most likely, deluxe would be great but not too picky. I would also consider other bikes possibly but I fell in love with the orientation of the engine and the intake/exhaust lines on the CX.

I'm looking to spend probably no more than 7-800 and that's max, I have a lot planned for a build! ~300 would be great! Craigslist is sorta slim pickings around me for these bikes.

Found my 77 CB 550 on CL a year back in Livingston @ $750.

Where in Texas? There was a CX 500 for $100 in San Antonio last week. I see them come up pretty often

I actually messaged the guy the day after he posted that, and he had already sold it before I got off work. I'm in San Antonio myself. I have notifications set up I guess I have to be patient but more quick to action when I see those deals!
