This is a bike I've been working on here and there for the past couple year. I'm not going for anything totally pristine cosmetically. Just a good looking utility bike that runs well. I'm in the middle of a top end rebuild right now. New rings, cam chain, gaskets and lapping valves.
One issue I haven't yet been able to solve is a hesitation on full throttle. At low speed if I turn the throttle wide open then the bike will bog right down and stall out. I can hold wide open throttle at full speed no problem. But under 25mph or so it's a no go. I've rebuilt and synchronized both carbs.
Aside from that I'm also curious what the best air filter and carb setup would be for this bike. Stock air filters cannot be bought for them as far as I know. Should I go for pods? What about the carbs? Can I replace them with something else? Do any of you cb200 cafe owners replace your carburetors with something aftermarket that works well?
