Aligning CB450 cams for new chain

Hi Guys,

Having some trouble! Looked in the manual, Googled... But still not finding the answer. How do I align cams on my CB450 to replace the cam chain? They don't move by hand because the impact the valves. I've seen "use a flat screw driver" but there has to be a better way right?

Yes they will move with a flat screw driver. Put a thin piece of hard plastic against the casing to avoid gouging the gasket surface. Get some oil on the journals and valve ends.
Depending on the shape of your channel locks, you can move them that way too.
Be careful not to mar the teeth and valleys, too much other wise you may F up the chain.
