When i take out the pilot air jet, its a tube with holes in the side and at both ends, but its not open all the Way through the tube, is that correct or is it clogged

Right. It works like this. On the bottom, it is drilled to a specific diameter which corresponds to the jet size. That drilling is actually the jet. The tubular part is an emulsion tube. When it is installed in the carb body and the engine is running, the emulsion tube is surrounded by air. That is why it is perforated with holes. Fuel is sucked into the emulsion tube through the drilling at the bottom, and air is sucked into the perforations. The two mix, and that mixture is then drawn into the main bore of the carb where it mixes with more air and hopefully ends up being the correct ratio. When you look into the jet drilling, you should be able to look straight through, and when you shoot carb cleaner into it, it should make a nice clean shot straight through the other end. When you block one end and shoot in carb cleaner, you should get nice straight shots coming out all the perforations. Make sure you check every passageway in the carb body. There is a passageway from the bell mouth that feeds air (through another jet or often just a drilling in the body)to the well that the pilot emulsion tube goes into. Make sure it is completely clear, or the needed air will be restricted.

Thanks guys very good help i cleanede all holes in the carb and now it runs 1000% better, but still a bit jerky at steady throttle
