1974 Honda CB125 Fix-Up Project

¡HOLA SENOR! ¡¡¡Este escrito no estará en español!!!

Anyway........ I helped a friend pick up a bike today. He said to keep it until it was in good condition and he'll pay for all the parts, etc. Which is awesome because my other project is coming to a slight dead end. And trouble shooting engines is one of the high points of being mechanically inclined.

So about the bike. It's a 1976 Honda CB125. It runs solid. In fact I rode it 15 miles home. But it doesn't idle, the lights barely work, the footpeg is bent, the controls are sticky, 1st doesn't "hit bottom", it just keeps acting like it's slapping down, and the seat's torn. The bike wasn't abused, but it was neglected. And it was also used somewhat as an "off roader" (yeehaw cowboy...).

But all's find and dandy. Because none of that's going to be an issue. Until I run into one. Mainly the idle thing. What's the main reason a bike simply doesn't idle? But runs fine? I will be posting more asking about certain problems in the future.

I can post pictures if you want, just let me know.

Cheers!
