Carb Setup for Yamaha RD 350

I just bought a 73 Yamaha RD 350. It's my first bike so I'm new to the two stroke world. It was in the middle of a restoration when I bought it so that is my main problem. I'm trying to figure out what the two little hose barbs sticking out of my carbs are for? On all the schematics I've seen it looks like air vents. One is on the bottom of the float tank, the other is on the side. What do I do with these? Thanks for any help!

leave them. yes theyre air vents. the bottom one is the fuel overflow outlet, and the one on the sides is the float bowl vent. both need to be unclogged, but should already be.
