Get a 150cc barrel and piston - a cheap and simple upgrade that really wakes up a CG!

Won't do the ton, but heaps more fun.

Crazy

drop a lifan 200 in it way better than a big bore kit and you get 12v and electric start

mine does 75 no problem

Does UK still have 125cc learner limit? I thought they were going to 27bhp years ago? (I've been in Florida almost 20 yrs and had 'better' things to do when visiting)
Any of the conversions will be very easily noticeable, they only 'hidden' way to do it is get a spare cylinder and have a 150+ conversion done. I think a modified CB650 piston and liner would be a good starting point and relatively cheap to do. The biggest issue will be the cam and rockers although you could try researching 1940's/50's British bikes as some of them used almost identical set up (Ariel 350/500's are the only ones I worked with though)

find a super dream 250 motor and stuff it in there

some have fit xl250 motors into them
