Sonny's 1966 CT90

Haha you're definitely being more thorough than myself. I just scrubbed off the rust with a wire brush and some wd40. I kind of like the crusty look.

I found a seller on eBay that has some remanufactured grey brake lines that he had made in Taiwan but I think the front one might only fit the 1969. He sells them as a set, but I'm sure you could get him to part with a rear for the right price.

I literally have blood and sweat into this engine. If it doesn't run I'll probably have tears, too.

Great build. I'm picking up a 1971 version tomorrow.... Looking forward to seeing yours come together! :)

Well... after continuing to fight for a while, it turns out the head and cylinder jug is different on the K0 model. The replacement head I have from a K2 isn't going to work without some modifications. Taking it to the machinist tomorrow to see if he'll mill it for me.

I haven' been so good about keeping up to date on this thread, but I have been working on the bike; honestly!

Almost done now. Just need to do the wiring and then it should be ready to fire up for the first time in 30 years.

Still need to go collect the new seat pan from my buddy in Portland and have it upholstered, though.

OK... so it's been a long ass time since I've been able to work on this one, but I finished up the wiring and did the seat upholstery.

Filled her up with gas to get things running and the carb was leaking like a sieve. At less than $30 I figured I'd just buy a brand new one.

Almost done with this thing.

Looking good! What's the deal with the two sprockets on the back wheel?

Carb cleaned up in the new ultrasonic cleaner.

Also got the hardware tumbled and cleaned up overnight.

I've also started a box of things I'm taking to a friend's place for media blasting.

What did you use as a cleaning solution in Ultrasonic cleaner?

I use a 50/50 mix of Pine Sol and water. Stinks to high heaven but works wonders, especially on greasy parts.

Thanks!
I have some carbs that I need to clean and I have been debating on how to go about it.
I have a HF ultrasonic cleaner that i will most likely use.

yep, I use 50/50 pinesol and water as well. The garage "smells" cleaner than the house does haha
