`77 kawaski kz650 caferacer " the joker "

Hallo to all,
im building a kawasaki kz650 caferacer i have been busy with it for a couple of months now.
this was the bike as i bought it

this is how it looks just about how i want it,with a cafe seat and knee indents

and this is how it looks now

every bike should have a name right?
the name of my bike is the joker

any comment is welcome

the stock seat was very badly rusted out and the cover was torn all over the place
so i trew it away, sorry....
in this picture you can see one of the rips in the cover

painted the frame and the engine today
clearcoated the tank and the seat dont have pics of that yet.

almost all is painted and polished some assembly required :

i have been busy ,i wrapped the exhaust,painted the tank,i put the joker on the seat,and clearcoated the tank and seat
i'm not very happy with the styling of the gastank, maybe ill do it again but with another design
anybody have some ideas?

Looks great! Nice job on the header wrap! That's a tedious job....

I'm not sure how thick your collars are for your headers but I had to fiddle with mine to get them to fit after wrapping. I wasn't sure about my paint scheme either, but once I put it all back together it started to grow on me. It's easy enough to change it later if you're not happy with it.

@ sbruton,
youre right is is a pain to wrap those headers it is a one piece set they are welded .....
it was a realy tight fit at the collector.
about the paint ,i decided to paint it in a different look it's drying right now
cant wait to see if it is a better look ???
i will post pictures when the masking comes off.
i allso did a aluminium plate to go under the seat ,for the batterie and electronics.

Your kidding me right? You do this super sweet paint job and don't even have the curtosy to set it back on the frame for us to see the muck up! Lol it looms really cool man, I am stoked to see it finished. It's gonna be awesome. I really really like the tank, but you gotta be happy with it too, that's what's most important

nope didnt put the tank on the frame i just totaly wasnt feeling it.... :-[

the new paint scheme is (at least in my eyes ) much better..
i will post a picture when the striping is on (again)

nope the knee inserts are foil ,the same foil as the joker
i got the foil from the shop that made the decal for me
