Blue Haze - a two-stroke miscellany

The "little bugger" with a full fairing was timed at 114 in the Isle of Man (Jurby road circuit. Not the TT). Robert Dunlop's Kreidler hit 117. Slow when you think that some of the GP 50s could run in the high 120s.

Aalt Toersen on a Kreidler. After all these years he still doesn't hang around.

Do these count? Plan on selling the Beige one and seeing how fast I can make the blue one. A 70cc kit is on my list.

Going to take a look at this little KE100 after work today, been thinking about a little beater just to get around town while the 750 is down for the rebuild. Anybody know anything about them other than the fact that they're small, light, underpowered, and awesome?

Good score! Kawi has made these from 1969 to 2003. The rotary valve 100 can be modified to have the same port timing as the G31M dirt bike which made 18 hp.
A buddy of mine did the port mods and added a pipe, now he's getting a top speed of 70 mph in New Mexico (the elevation difference works out to about a 20% loss)
Through the 70's there were lots of motor refinements but essentially the same motor from 1982 up. Lots of parts can be found so you are in good shape with that one, enjoy!

Had some "2-stroke" fun on the weekend! Here's a quick vid of the Saturday morning line-up for our ride. There are 12 Triples in the line-up and I believe another 3 were there, along with a RZ350 and an assortment of 'diesels'. ;)

Walms' bike is in the lineup along with the Mongrel. If you can spot it with the shakey video, Walms' is wearing glasses. ;D

What an amazing collection of strokers to ride with!

Crazy

It was a total blast! :D It was our second last "Kawasaki Triples Canada" event of the season. I believe one of the guys said we covered 180 miles that afternoon. Throw in a couple of fuel stops, a ferry ride, a refreshment stop at Walm's parents house, a gourmet BBQ at night... it was a full, fun day! ;D 8)

The last event is a Track Day on September 20th! Now THAT should produce some stories! ;)

You can imagine my excitement when I first heard of this:

Alas, it's not a two-stroke revival!

Then again, a blown four-stroke is nearly as good as an oil-burner.

Crazy

Give it the H2 monicker to suck in all the 50+ who wanted one when they were in their teens and can now have one. Kawasaki should sell them to hipsters. They won't know the difference
